Time saved through anticipation with Rodrigo in Madrid

Flying from London to Madrid for an important business meeting, I landed at Barajas Airport the previous day, late at night. Rodrigo, my chauffeur, greeted me and escorted me to a sleek Mercedes S Class, offering ample rear seat space, much appreciated given my age. As we drove to the Hotel Ritz, Rodrigo confirmed the next day’s schedule, noting my 8 AM meeting at the Cuatro Torres Business Area. We agreed on a 7:30 AM sharp pickup to allow me time for breakfast.

Settling in, I went straight to bed. To my surprise, the room’s phone rang at 6:05 AM, or so I thought. It was Rodrigo in reception, requesting the concierge to give me a wake-up call. Confused, I asked why he called so early. The concierge clarified it was actually 7:05 AM—my phone, still in flight mode, was an hour behind showing UK’s time. Rodrigo’s quick thinking had led him to check with the concierge when I hadn’t appeared for breakfast, fearing I’d overslept.

Grateful, I dressed quickly and hurried downstairs. To my surprise, Rodrigo had arranged with the concierge for a small breakfast bag with assorted fruit and a take-away coffee. “So you don’t start your important meeting on an empty stomach,” he said with a warm smile.

Thanks to Rodrigo’s foresight and resourcefulness, I arrived at my meeting on time and well-prepared. His attentive service and quick actions saved my day and left me with a deep appreciation for the human touch in professional travel.

“By anticipating needs and acting swiftly, I ensure peace of mind during my client’s journeys. Thoughtfulness in every detail turns potential setbacks into memorable experiences.”
