Last month, I flew in my company’s private jet with my wife from Monterrey to Toluca for a high-society event at the Cosmovitral Botanical Gardens. While we were getting ready to depart, I asked our pilot, Miguel, to arrange transportation for us upon landing. And, when we arrived, our chauffeur Víctor was waiting on the tarmac next to a nice and new-looking car, ready to drive us in comfort to the botanical gardens. He was very polite and well groomed.
At the gardens, we had the chance to reconnect with old friends and business partners. Víctor waited nearby, ever attentive without intruding. After the event, he drove us to Amaranta, an exceptional restaurant he had reserved for us. On our way to dinner, my wife realized she had left her iPhone charger back in Monterrey, and Víctor was quick to offer one. He explained with a smile that he always keeps various chargers in the vehicle just in case.
Dinner was delightful, and when we finished, Víctor drove us to Hotel Suite Inn La Muralla. When my wife made to return the charger, he politely offered her to keep it in case she further needed it while we were staying in Toluca. I gave a nod of appreciation upon such attention to detail, realizing our chauffeur had everything covered.
The next morning, after a delicious breakfast, Víctor drove us back to the airport. When we arrived and Víctor dropped us right next to the jet, Miguel and the crew were already prepared for our flight back to Monterrey. And, as our chauffeur politely wished us a relaxing flight back home, I thanked him for an exceptional service. His quiet attentiveness had made all the difference.
