After attending an intensive business travel congress in Santiago de Chile, our group of four colleagues from Los Angeles found ourselves with a free day before our flight back to the USA. Our chauffeur Alfonso, who had handled our logistics flawlessly throughout the congress, suggested we take a tour of the Maipo Valley, famous for its beautiful landscapes and exquisite wines. The idea was right on target.
Alfonso picked us up from our hotel in the morning, and from the start, his expertise made the day easy for us. He guided our group to some of the best vineyards in the valley, where we experienced a private tour, scenic mountain views, and luxury wine tastings. The icing on the cake was a gourmet picnic in the heart of the vineyards, with local delicacies paired perfectly with the wines. Alfonso’s attention to detail and thorough planning was outstanding.
Throughout the tour, Alfonso ensured we were comfortable and shared interesting insights about the region’s wine culture. His local knowledge provided us with experiences we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. By the time we returned to our hotel, we all agreed the wine tour had been an unexpected highlight of our trip to Chile.
The next morning, Alfonso drove us to the airport, ensuring we arrived in plenty of time for our flight. His professionalism and thoughtful care during both the congress and our leisure day made our time in Santiago a memorable success.
