I spent a week in Berlin setting up our Central-European offices, a task that demanded every bit of my focus and energy. Sebastian was my chauffeur from the moment I landed, and he proved to be an invaluable professional. He greeted me at the airport in his long, sleek Mercedes S-Class, handling all my needs within the city. On top of that, his expert tips and recommendations, especially for dinner spots, were a bonus that made my stay more enjoyable.
However, the last two days of my trip took an unexpected turn when I had to make a sudden journey to Brussels for last-minute meetings before heading back to Atlanta. My Head Office in the US provided high-speed train tickets between Germany and Belgium. Once my schedule in Brussels was completed and as I boarded the train back to Berlin, I realized I would have very little time to transfer to Berlin-Brandenburg airport. I was not concerned because I was travelling light and with my boarding pass already in hand.
I texted Sebastian from the train, telling him I would have to skip lunch due to the tight timing, and asking him to be ready for a quick transfer to the airport. Upon my arrival at Berlin Hauptbahnhof, there he was waiting, and holding a bag which he offered to me. Inside, I found a delicious-looking Bratwurst. “You can’t leave our beautiful city on an empty stomach,” he said, “and there’s nothing better than a typical German Bratwurst to fill it”, he added.
As we made our way to the airport, I enjoyed the meal, appreciating Sebastian’s foresight and care. His attention to detail and kindness had made a demanding working week in Europe far more manageable. Thanking him as we reached the airport, I knew I would for sure request Sebastian’s services on my next trip to the city.
“I like making sure my passengers leave Berlin with a smile on their face. Anticipating their needs makes all the difference in their travel experience.”
