Arriving at Teterboro well past midnight, weary from a red-eye flight from San Francisco, I was greeted by Mahmoud, a beacon of warmth amidst New Jersey’s nocturnal embrace. His discreet yet attentive presence immediately instilled a sense of trust as he confirmed our destination: the Plaza Hotel on 5th Avenue, adjacent to Central Park.
Despite the late hour, Mahmoud’s skill behind the wheel of his Mercedes S Class was nothing short of remarkable. Upon arrival at the hotel, and anticipating the demands of my upcoming day, I relayed my early morning schedule to him, emphasizing the need for a prompt departure at 7:00h am. With a nod of understanding, he assured me of his punctuality before bidding me farewell.
Regardless of how late I retire to bed, I always start my day with my customary morning jog. And, with Central Park conveniently nearby, I simply couldn’t forego this routine despite the early hour of my initial appointment. So, at 5:30 am I swiftly changed into my jogging attire and made my way out. To my absolute amazement, Mahmoud was already stationed at the front entrance, ready and waiting! Upon my return from a 20-minute jog, Mahmoud handed me a bottle of refreshing still water, a gesture that I deeply valued.
Following a quick shower and a frugal breakfast, I found Mahmoud still waiting in the same spot, ever watchful. With his reliable presence, I felt assured and at ease as we promptly set off for my first meeting, confident that his guidance would ensure a smooth journey through New York.
“Guiding travellers through the heart of New York City is more than a duty; it’s a privilege. Every gesture, every moment of reassurance, is an opportunity to elevate their experience and ensure their journey is nothing short of exceptional.”
