I travel very often to Geneva to represent my law firm. Once, facing an important meeting in the city centre. I found myself flying on the first plane of the day and landing ahead of schedule at Geneva Cointrin International Airport, where I was met by my kind chauffeur, Cristian.
Recognizing the early hour and my empty stomach, I confided in Cristian’s recommendation for breakfast before the day’s proceedings. Without hesitation, he guided his elegant Mercedes electric sedan through the streets of Geneva to Café du Centre, a local gem he regularly visited himself.
There I enjoyed a delicious Swiss Birchermuesli with fresh fruits, while Cristian waited stationed just around the corner, ready to drive me away at a moment’s notice. I had a slight setback when I spilled some coffee over my shirt, which I fortunately could cover by buttoning my jacket. After breakfast, and once on our way, I told Cristian about my little incident with the coffee while he observed me with an expert eye through the rear mirror.
To my surprise, he gently suggested a solution. “Sir, I know a famous boutique just a few blocks away. Perhaps we could make a quick stop for a new shirt before your meeting?” His kind attention gave me confidence for the important appointment ahead. I readily agreed and we swiftly pulled up to the boutique. Stepping inside, I wasted no time in selecting a pristine Armani white shirt, tailored to perfection. In just a few minutes, I was wearing it, ready for my meeting.
Since that day, requesting Cristian as my chauffeur on subsequent visits to Geneva has become a cherished tradition, punctuated by shared laughter and fond recollections of our “shirt anecdote.” And as I keep returning to Café du Centre for its delicious breakfast, I’m often reminded of the remarkable and warm journey Cristian facilitated.
“In every journey, I strive to blend warmth with efficiency. It’s a privilege to create experiences that linger long after the journey ends.”
