Last September, my daughter Lucía and I accompanied my husband Mario, a textile manufacturer from Bogotá, on a business trip to Lima. While he was meeting providers in the city, Lucía and I had the opportunity to explore the city with John, the private chauffeur that Mario had booked to help us discover Peru’s capital city.
His first recommendation was Miraflores, where I enjoyed shopping at some of the city’s most prestigious boutiques. Meanwhile, he entertained little Lucía by sharing fun facts about Lima’s history and culture. Afterward, he took us to the Magic Water Circuit, a world-famous attraction and the largest of its kind. My daughter was absolutely amazed by the colorful fountains and the spectacular light and water show.
John also surprised us by booking lunch at La Mariposario, a restaurant within a stunning five-story butterfly sanctuary. Watching my daughter’s happiness as she wandered through the area was an absolutely wonderful experience. John had a special ability to balance engaging activities for both of us.
When we returned to the hotel, we shared our experiences with my husband, laughing about all the incredible sights he had missed. John’s kindness, knowledge, and careful planning transformed our time in Lima into a truly memorable adventure.
