Two years ago, in spring, I was attending with two colleagues an international trade fair at Berlin’s Messe. Our stay was extraordinarily managed by Olivier, our chauffeur. Each day, he transported us between the Waldorf Astoria and the event venue, his spacious Mercedes V Class easily accommodating the boxes of gifts and promotional materials we needed for the fair.
As fans of Elton John, we lamented not having tickets to his concert at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, a show coinciding with our stay. Our regret was a frequent topic of conversation, especially during our morning rides to the fair. On the third day, while en route to the Messe, Olivier took it upon himself to work some magic.

That evening, as he picked us up to return to the hotel, he surprised us with a smile and asked if we still wished to attend the concert. To our astonishment, he mentioned that after talking to a friend who worked at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, he had it in his hands to secure three VIP tickets. This would provide us with premium seats and grant us access to a backstage event, an extraordinary opportunity which included meeting Elton John himself. We immediately accepted the offer, not quite believing that we could be so lucky.
The concert was an incredible experience, and meeting Elton John backstage was the icing on the cake, a dream come true. Upon returning to London, we were ecstatic, and our friends could hardly believe the tale of our remarkable evening.
Reflecting on that time, Olivier’s exceptional service and keen attention to our interests proved that it is the unexpected moments which often become the most treasured.

“Creating unforgettable moments is very rewarding. Making dreams come true on every ride—it’s these surprises that make each journey special.”
