With the Christmas holidays approaching, I had a last-minute trip to our Boston HQ. Arriving safely, I was greeted by Adil at the Logan International airport, holding a sign with our company logo. His manners were impeccable and the Volvo S90 he was driving, spotless. As we headed to The Ritz-Carlton, a gentle snow began to fall, making me smile at the beauty of the scene.
The next morning, Adil was promptly at the hotel’s lobby to take me to the office. The snow had continued overnight, creating a winter wonderland but also some concern about the weather. The day was filled with back-to-back meetings, and I couldn’t help but notice the accumulating snow outside.
As the meetings concluded, Adil skilfully navigated the now congested roads to get me back to the airport. I shared my eagerness to return home for Christmas, unaware of the impending travel disruptions.
At the airport, I was stunned to find my flight cancelled due to worsening weather, with the airport likely closing soon. As concern began to rise, Adil, who had waited to ensure I boarded safely, reappeared. Learning of my situation, he immediately offered to drive me to New York, a four-hour trip, so I could catch another flight.
His quick thinking and readiness to help were a lifesaver. During the drive, Adil provided a pillow, allowing me to rest comfortably. My company’s Travel Department arranged a new flight, and I relaxed, knowing I was in capable hands with Adil. He gently woke me as we approached JFK, with soothing new-age music playing softly and, thanks to my chauffeur’s extraordinary dedication, I caught my flight and made it home in time for Christmas.
